I know of a woman who had unknowingly received a life consuming disease. All she did was share food with trusted people. She was not aware the trusted ones were carrying until a while after the fact. being when they told her. How would you feel if this were to happen to you?

At risk of repetition I often have to ask myself if mine is the best approach, all considered. I hope I haven't rocked it too far, and if there's any danger of engulfment or submergal please advise

Well it serves her right for eating off other peoples plates!
And they can't have been trustworthy if they didn't warn her they were riddled with a deadly disease. What was it anyway, AIDS?
She could try suing them before they snuff it.. Smile
