It was originally written by Burt Bacharac (sp)?

Damn it, I can't spell the name, but it is pronounced Ba-kuh-rak. He has a cameo in the first Austin Powers movie.

I've only heard the White Stripes version.

Hi cav, and thanks for the "welcome back". Life has been big and messy lately but its starting to calm down so I'm hoping to check in a bit more often.

Joe Jackson had a great cover album of cool songs by the likes of Cab Calloway called "Beat Crazy".

Simply Red did a helluva cover of David Byrne's "Heaven".

I loved Courtney Love's version of Fleetwood Mac's "Gold Dust Woman".

Ray Charles covered everybody and then some but still managed to make each song his own.

Little Mo is great. One of the big messy things I've been doing is getting legal custody of him! It took a long time and a lot of money but it was sooooo worth it.

I've also been working on a new photo portfolio - a different approach to the studio work I've been doing. I started wondering where I might be able to post the portfolio to get some feedback and I thought of coming here. I'm waiting for a reply on my request to open an album.
