The five words that could have followed puritans were pasturing, upstaring, Proustian, rainspout, and supinator.

Catch22 added two letters to give us supinators, but let's just pretend we passed thru supinator (or Proustian or rainspout) to get there.

There are at least two words that can follow SUPINATORS.

Ok, ladies and gents. You're going to have plenty of time to think about this one as I am going out of town early tomorrow and returning on Tuesday evening. I don't expect to get online at all while I'm gone (though I may get back here one more time this evening).
