I didn't see ytterbiums listed either (when I looked for submitters), but figured the plural of submitter was more likely than the plural of ytterbium.

Ytterbiums was the word I was going for, markr. As long as m-w.com doesn't give you "The word you've entered isn't in the dictionary" I consider that it has accepted the word - even if the word in question (like the plural of ytterbium) isn't actually listed. Sorry for the confusion!
