I did find "planished," and before anyone asks, no, I had never heard of the word before either -- I just played around with the letters until I found a combination that m-w accepted as a word.

Sorry, lasch, but www.m-w.com doesn't agree that STROBING is a word. (They only list strobe as a noun.) Give it another try!
