Hi everybody,
I'm afraid this forum is more USA oriented, but if I don't try I'll never know ! I am desperately looking for the usual price of a LP in the 70's in UK (in £ thus), best would be the 1973 price. Does somebody remember ???
Thanks !

@cathyfrombelgium,
The very first album I bought was in and around 1973 (possibly 72), which was David Bowie's Ziggy Stardust.
If I remember correctly, I'm pretty sure it cost me around £5. I still have it, but there's no price tag on it.

A Deep Purple one I bought around that time has a £5.99 sticker on it.

@Lordyaswas,
Albums were generally about £3.99 in 1980 so there's no way they were a fiver in 1973. Deep Purple's Made in Japan, released in 1972 was a double album and had a price of £3.10. I seem to recall that it was promoted as being a double album for the price of a standard one.
