@Turandot,
The big difference is that the voice in the UK is 'freedom of speech.' They are allowed to talk about any subject including politics and politicians.

@cicerone imposter,
But in my opinion, as an entertainment program, The Voice of China only refers to a few politics and politicians. In China, not everything is so closely connected with politics.

@Turandot,
Over 90% of the topics on a2k are not political.

@Turandot,
I watched a few clips of the Chinese franchise of The Voice.

I wish that people there would not cover Western/English-language songs. Their difficulty with singing English phonetically distracted me from the quality of their voices. I didn't enjoy that at all.

@cicerone imposter,
Why would people competing on any franchise of The Voice talk about politics? they're usually talking about their song choices .

@cicerone imposter,
c.i., do you know the television program we're talking about?

it seems like you want to talk about something else entirely. perhaps you could start a thread on that topic.

@Turandot,
I'm guessing the 'voice of China' is an ideal, encouraged by the political establishment.
The 'voice' UK, is a tv show that rewards potential winners (vocalists) with a record-contract.

Difference being - Neither are similar.

I believe the commentator at 3:48 was saying "Vote Clinton!"--but i admit my Mandarin is a bit rusty.

@mark noble,
I am afraid that you may have a mistake. ‘The Voice of China' is a competition which provide a platform for people who like singing. The tutors select students only by the students' voice.
