On the laptop have you logged into facebook?
Sounds like the default security settings for new profiles is not to display them openly. Just guessing.
Click on the padlock icon next to the word Home and under 'Who Can See My Stuff' click on 'What do other people see on my Timeline?
View As' That will show you what other people can see of your Facebook activity.
You can change the settings by going into Privacy settings.
There's also a chance that what you're seeing on the laptop is a cached older version of your facebook profile. Try CTRL -F5 to force a refresh.
