'Well as some of you know Dad got sick again, this time the hospital decided it was best that he just stay there until they could find him a heart for transplant. Fortunately they found him one today. They started the surgery about an hour ago, so far so good"

I recall one April Fool's we got it so the software would mask his real ID and show it as 3packs. He noticed it after a while, and was amused. Then we switched it up to 4packs, to see how long it would take people to notice. I think we hit 6packs before the day was over.

His daughter posted an update on FB.

"Update on dad, they got him out of surgery about 3:30 this morning. The new heart works good but its going to take his body a little while to adjust to the new heart so they have him hooked up to an ecmo machine for extra support for the next few days. They've got him stable and he's doing fine"

Looks like things are proceeding as expected.

Ongoing internal bleeding found to be due to an infection near where his old heart pump was located. Still stable, but having a bit of a setback.
