I'd like to know who your favorite A2K poster boys and girls are and why.
For example: I love THOK'S postings cause this guy is his own man. Not an ounce of guile in him. He's oblivious to sarcasm in a real sweet way.
Or Craven , who's brilliance with a discussion is awesome.
Farmerman is the funniest guy, always good for a hoot
I could go on, but you get the gist.
Acquiunk, Georgeob1, JamesMorrison, nimh, and Thomas for the world class political writing.
Yeah, farmerman is a hoot, and no slouch with technical knowledge and political science.
Littlek, Misti, Msolga, Onyxelle, and pueo for pure niceness. Boo, hiss Craven for not believing in "pure" anything.
Other names will come to mind, of course, as soon as I hit the "Submit" button.
Thanks Roger, I'll start looking for their postings
BBB
Blatham is soooo politically savy in addition to being one of A2K's wittiest posters.
Edgarblythe has a huge wonderful heart and is an extraordinary poet.
BBB
I agree on both counts: Blatham is the droll one...
and Edgar's heart is as big as the square miles of prose that he posts.
I could brag on my friends or I could brag on the a2kers who post such wonderful grist for the mill - Hey! - They are one and the same. I could pick out certain favorites, such as dys, set, CI, farmerman, BBB, colorbook, drom, sealpoet, gelegesty, craven, joannedorel, diane, cav, paditty, and such, but, then I would be leaving out lilK. feenix, letty, gus, bibare and others. Then I would still be leaving out a couple dozen more.
for starters the two who posted already. roger can say more with one sentence than many posters do in a paragraph. bbb, has some great recipes that i have tried (it's hard to get some ingredients on guam) and they were great. they both have a sense of humor, which is always a great asset.
oops, didn't see you there edgar. add edgar to my list too. ok, getting out of this thread right now.
I think Joe Nation is an excellent writer, and I always get a kick out of dlowan. Her little bunny with the cigarette avatar cracks me up.
Se? Everyone mentioned here that I failed to mention are on my list too.
Oh wow, there are too many favorites to list. I wouldn't know where to start. Do I have to name a favorite? Well then...I guess I'd better dance with the one who brought me...Joe Nation, of course.
Who is this Joe Nation and why does he inhabit my dreams?

i'm sure I forgot a bunch
Sozobe cause she's smart, charming and right.
Sofia cause she's smart, charming and wrong. (heeeeeeeee!! <runs>)
Rae cause she's always so kind even tho i'm lousy at responding to PMs
eBeth cause i have fond memories of posts that first made me feel at home on a web-board - and how that feeling just stayed with all posts since
JamesMorrison cause he's so serious and balanced and always carries discussion up to a higher level
Gautam cause he's cute
Dagmaranka cause she's intelligent and interesting and it was a pleasure to work with her
Quinn and little k cause of abuzz and they're funny and seem nice;
PrincessTerryDoo cause she really is very nice and it was always great fun chatting with her
Acquinunk cause he invariably makes sense, often at pivotal moments
georgeob1 because he is simultaneously one of the more interesting/pleasant posters to talk politics with, and the poster whom i'm certain to always diametrically disagree with
realjohnboy cause of the evocative, touching anecdotes he posts on my "what made you smile today" thread
kara, diane, sumac ... in my mind i group them together cause they used to pop in at that same thread already on the other forum, changed names when they came here, and now can be found posting both worthwhile views and nice observations
fbaezer for being another good storyteller, plus posting interesting, worthwhile, insightful posts on politics threads
dys for being dys
gus, slappy and farmerman for being funny
scrat and fedral for being fierce, but taking their stuff seriously
letty for answering with lyrics and caring
drom for being slightly off-beat
docent p (where did he go?) for always being interesting if somewhat quixotic
oyoyoyoyoy ... there must be so many more still ... where to begin where to end ...
he-heh!
i was afraid my list would be overly long - but i see that craven beat me to it! and as always, whatever i can do, he can do better!
<giggles>
I'm still pretty new to A2K, but these are the posters who have caught my attention and in one special case, my heart.
Gus...I'm in love (don't tell my husband and I won't tell anyone you use Viagra).
Titus...because I agree with him so often.
BBB...for his informative posts. He doesn't miss a beat.
hobitbob...because we go back away's and share many of the same political views.
Camille...she's a favorite because, like hobitbob, we have known one another for sometime and share many of the same views.
Bi-Polar Bear...he has a great sense of humor.
farmerman is a hoot.
McGentrix...I have a love-hate thing going on with him.
Edgarblythe is a favorite because he sounds like a wonderful husband.
Phoenix seems like someone I would love chatting over coffee with for hours.
<checks cravens list>
oooh see! i knew i'd forgotten some crucial ones .... like patiodog, ebrown, and of course ossobucco ...
-- Doglover i think BBB is a "she" ... ;-)
I do too. BBB is too impartial to be a he...hack hack
My list, because of it's topical breakdown tends to neglect a lot of people who are "generalists".
I'm sure I forgot a ton.
My fave is Lusatian of course, the only person on earth that I love.
