Off the top of my head, I think it was the Dixicups.

I searched American Bandstand and the first hit said that the name I gave was a person who absolutely refused to lip sybch.

I REALLY mangled the question but looks like kuvasz managed to figure out what I was trying to ask. Otis is the remaining original member of the Temps still performing with the group.
