I have always been pretty aware of western themes. I don't recall lyrics with regard to Gunsmoke ever.

Hi Oak....

That's a fun website.... I grew up watching TV Westerns.... I didn't know that "Rin Tin Tin" had lyrics!!

I don't see a current question????

So, I'll just jump in and type some lyrics....

This song is on a CD that I bought a couple of days ago. I heard about this CD on the "What Are You Listening To Now" thread. I'm really loving the lyrics on this CD!!

I said I'd be your lover
You laughed at what I said
I lost my job forever
I was counted with the dead

I swept the marble chambers
But you sent me down below
You kept me from believing
Until you let me know

That I am not the one who loves
It's love that seizes me
When hatred with his package comes
You forbid delivery

And when the hunger for your touch
Rises from the hunger
You whisper, "You have loved enough
Now let me be the Lover"

I swept the marble chambers
But you sent me down below
You kept me from believing
Until you let me know

That I am not the one who loves
It's love that chooses me
When hatred with his package comes
You forbid delivery.

.......can you guess which CD ??.......

Very Happy

Hi Peace and Love, how ya doin' ? OK I trust.

so you bought the leonard Cohen CD, inc. "You have loved enough"
you leave good clues laying around.

I was nosing around in my local music store earlier this week and if I bought every CD I liked, I'd spend my daughter's inheritance.

Those TV westerns were great. We got pretty well most of over here in the UK, conpulsive viewing. I wish someone here would start a cable channel that played shows from the 50s & 60s and then my 2nd childhood might be complete.

Oh yeah, Willie Dixon , good ol' blues man rec. a song called
"Little Red Rooster". Which Brit band covered it in the 60s ?

Edgar'll put his shootin' irons away, coz he'll know this one

OaK.... Yes, I'm really loving the Leonard Cohen CD!! I'm so glad I found it!!

New Question.......

here's the lyrics......

I like the way your sparklin' earrings lay
Against your skin so brown
And I wanna sleep with you in the desert tonight
With a billion stars all around.

And I found out a long time ago
What a woman can do to your soul.
Ah, but she can't take you anyway
You don't already know how to go.

I get this feelin' I may know you
As a lover and a friend
But this voice keeps whispering in my other ear
Tells me I may never see you again.

And I know you won't let me down
cause i'm already standin',
I'm already standin',
Yes, i'm already standin' on the ground.

.......name that tune.......

Very Happy

Peace and Love == I racked my tiny brain when I read those lyrics. I kinda remembered the lines..................... but not who. Then I thought, Leonard Cohen again ? Nahhhhhhhhhhhhhhh

Then this Eagle flew in and perched on my shoulder and squawked ---

"A peacefull easy feeling" -- you get when you stop flying

Now who was it that said/sang that ----- Life is a Lemon and Wants His Money Back

Hi OaK.... here's a salmon to feed to your eagle!!! Tell him his answer was correct!!!

I'm stuck.... don't recognize the quote....

....will be back later....

One of my favorite Sunday radio programs is just about to start....

"Prairie Home Companion"

I listen to it over the internet, via KUOW (University of Washington)

http://www.kuow.org/

Years ago, we could watch a live broadcast on TV of "Prairie Home Companion", but I don't think they televise it now.

P & L ====== Think Bats (no not Ozzy) and Harleys. Big voice.

I tuned into your radio station. It's an interesting mix of chat and music.

Booman put me onto Jazz 88.3 FM WBGO out of Newark

I can't answer the last question. Here is a new one since the thread is languishing:
Little Richard was working as a ---------- when he made his first recording?
