Hank and Lois apparently did record Send Me Some Lovin, but the first original was Little Richard, quite a few years earlier.

Hi dyslexia -- Correct... you get to ask the next question.

(each time I write down some lyrics, I get that song stuck in my head!)

To keep it going I will post a question. Dyslexia is free to ask one when and if he chooses.

Hi edgar --

...this is what I found by surfing the internet....

The song was written for the movie "Unchained", which was released in January 1955. The song on the movie soundtrack was recorded by Al Hibbler, a blind black singer, and was nominated for an Academy Award. Les Baxter released an instrumental version in April, 1955.

New Question.....

.......here's the lyrics.......

Oh Wanita, oh Wanita, oh Wanita, I call your name.
Oh, the snow will be a blinding sight to see as it lies on yonder hillside.
The lock upon my garden gate's a snail, that's what it is.
The lock upon my garden gate's a snail, that's what it is.
Caterpillar sheds his skin to find a butterfly within.
Caterpillar sheds his skin to find a butterfly within.

.......name that tune.......

I'm going to say Julie London: CRY ME A RIVER. I have heard this song by lots of artists, but it was Julie's one big hit.
