RAINSOFT UNIT NOT USING SALT

My unit was serviced about 3 mos ago and it hasn't used any salt.What shouuld I do...they want 145.00 just to come out for 30 minutes.I wish I'd never gotten this thing!!

It is on a low-sodium diet, perhaps?
