Musical ideas

Heya!
i want to write a musical and i have this ideas but i don't know whether its good enough so your help would... well... help!!!
its about a girl who's dyslectic and at this time in history it was a crime( time in history not like victorian or anything but modern)
and basically the mum always gets fired from a job and the girl gets bullied. since it was a crime the mum and girl have to run away and at one point in the musical the mum dies because the police come and were going to kill the girl but the mum pushes her out of the way and tells the girl to run.
in the end the girl gets so fed up and starts a riot about how it shouldn't be a crime ( like womens rights)
and then she changes history and sets up a school( she wants to be a teacher) for the dyslectic
