Yep. It's an anisette liquor, like absinthe (but less likely to make you blind, I think). Can't stand the stuff myself, and spent my time there ordering red wines and retsinas by the kilo in restaurants.
Littlek, did I hear you correctly? Did you actually drink ouzo? If so, I am sooooo impressed. The only time I tried it, I felt like the top of my head was being blown off!
