To my ears...it's got kind of got a Riders on the Storm quality to it. Good singing voice, good writing and good bass lines. I like the mixing....subtle and simple. Not pretentious at all.

IMHO, I'd love to hear a version with a sax in there wailing for a bit.

Here is a a song I wrote and recorded called "Jimmy D".

A friend of mine asked me last night, Was Jimmy D real person?

Answer:
No, Jimmy D was not a real person. The story is completely a fabrication of my own imagination. Though Jimmy D does remind me a bit of my father who was born in 1905 but I am not exactly sure why. Perhaps the generation gap.

Dad was a Shriner and took me out hunting a few times. It was long ago but I think I loathed the experience. The idea of shooting a deer is foreign to me even now. Luckily he seemed to always strike out on those occasions. I am not sure where or how I became against most hunting in general. I think the song, Jimmy D is my way of explaining my views on the subject.

In the last two days I revamped the song Jimmy D. I replaced the muddy acoustic guitar track with a new one and added some harmonies in the chorus.

I was playing my guitar out live in some bars/restaurants somewhere a few years back, I was strumming it almost as loud as I could while singing at nearly above the ambient volume of the people all talking at once.

When I was done performing the song a man came up to me and said, "Wow, so that is what an acoustic guitar really sounds like."

I must have thanked him for the compliment but it was such a very nice compliment that I still remember it.

One other night a man who was also a performer on a ferry boat said, "I heard you singing and playing from outside the bar and it sounded like a whole band inside, your guitar thundered..."

Those days are like a blur of really nice people and the greatest experience.

I am sorry I have not told A2K people sooner but I am removing my music from Reverbnation. I have been removing it about 5 songs a day for a week or so.

There is obviously someone there who does not like me and/or my music.

I may leave a couple songs there and that is it.

The remainder of my songs will only be there for perhaps a week if they do not stop putting me last on the charts.

My music is even behind people with nearly zero listens and no friends at all.

I would really like to know what algorithm they used that decided I needed to be dead last in the charts. It really is unacceptable to me.

Regardless I have found another site that is more than happy to host my music. They have even agreed to drop album release charges. They are more than eager to have my music on their site. I understand that most artists on Reverbnation have not sold much of their music just as I have not sold more than a hand full of songs in the last three years. My song sales are really not the problem, money was never my motivations for making art. But money is seemingly Facebook and Reverbnation's only motivation.

I cannot subject my music to such noise any longer.
