Facebook Email Address

I am wondering. Why if you are friends with this person, did you need to "find" their address?

I never think sending a long letter to anyone about something that may be important to you, is ever a good idea.. Words can be read wrong.. And, given you state it was lengthy there is a lot on your mind.

Why not just send this "friend" a small note requesting their phone number and call them.......

Facebook only allows a certain amount of letters in a PM from what I recall but I doubt that you sent it, as half of that message would appear in any event.
