Question about the "people you may know" list

I believe you can prevent people on your Friends list from being pimped about like this by making the list private. Look into your privacy settings. But I wouldn't worry too much if Fb puts forward people on your list, because it's up to them whether to accept any friendship request that comes to them as a consequence.
