Where do you teach?

I've been a tutor of ESL for many years. I used to volunteer for the English Speaking Union. I then did some tutoring on my own.

I've worked on conversational English only.

I have a friend who does ESL for a group of Afghan women in NYC. She's found that asking her class to bring photographs of their families provides a good jumping off point for all sorts of discussion.
