My father recently purchased a Rainsoft TC/IMF filtration system that I am concerned he paid to much for. He paid 4500 dollars for this this thing that filters all the incoming water to the house. The man that sold it him was sent by home depot to test our water and ending up leaving with one of these things sold.Anyways I'm just curious about the average price of one of these things.

Sounds a little scam-ish.
I don't know that specific product, I did however date a girl who sold systems for Rainsoft. It was a bit of a pyramid scheme in 2002. I don't know how much or how little that has changed since then.
