Things Are Much Better Since I Changed My Clock On the F

Since I have been on this site, I have been looking at GMT, and have gotten totally

discombubulated. Confused

I finally changed the time to fit my area of the world. Now I feel better! Surprised

Once I

was in a border town in Mexico, and didn't have a watch. There was a one hour time difference between where I was, and the

time in the US a few miles away. When I asked the time, people, seeing that I was an American, would give me the time in El

Paso, not Juarez. You have no idea how much confusion that caused me Exclamation

jespah pointed out

to me how confusing the time setup is.

I will change this to make it simpler but daylight savings (summer time for you

wacky Brits!) is a huge headache.

It will probably work out like this:

The GMT -1 GMT + 1 and all will ahve

locations there (like: São Paulo Brasilia etc for GMT -3).

The problem with that is the DST, I'll probably have to

set it up so that members check a box when they are in DST time to change it by 1 hour.

DST is making my head spin,

everywhere they do it differently (sometimes not even a full hour ajusted) and the time for switchovers is never the

same.

I'll work on this tonight. Maybe I'll have the time zone fix implemented by tomorrow (keep your fingers

crossed).

Ah, don't knock

your brains out. I just went to a world clock site, and figured out that I was 4 hours earlier than GMT. When we go back to

standard time, I will do it again. No biggie Exclamation

I set mine to GMT +

6, which I hope is mountain daylight time in the U.S.
