startign to worry about the amount of alcohol i am consuming. My husband and I have moved to a new province in which i know noone. I work six days a week and 10-12 hours a day, obviously hard to connect with anyone new with those hours. obviously being a women never helps as women are usually harder to get to know and meet when you know no one else. \my husband is away one month at a time and only home 4 or 5 days in between. I never drink during the day but i have a tendency to binge drink 3 or 4 times a week to the point of getting drunk. Is this just lonliness or is this something I should be concerned about? My family has a long history of alcholism on both sides

It is something you should be concerned about. I suggest you contact the nearest office of Alcoholics Anonymous and seek advice.

Run, don't walk, to the nearest AA office/meeting place.
