We bought a system for 5 K, and are happy with the system, have had no problems, but I was in a sears store the other day, I notices the Kenmore systems were priced between 700 and 1,500 dollars. I don't know if these systems are the same, but I felt like we overpaid for the system. I have read some of the reviews and they are mixed. I keep thinking that when we had our presentation, If I would have said no, I didn't want it, would the salesman drop the price ??? Again I am happy with the system, but feel I over paid for it. We were able to charge this through my local Home Depot card. Did anyone pay less for the system ???

@Bendusty,
It's a little late to compare prices and equipment, but RainSoft charges a very
high price for mid-level equipment.

The salesman would have dropped the price to get the sale or the 'sales manager'
would have called on you with a lower price after the salesman left.

BTW, at a minimum, $5K should have bought you a computerized softener,
a back washing carbon filter or Acid neutralizer and a drinking water system.

What did you get?
