Hong Kong's first naked newsreader has been taken off the air.

Fire/Ice News featured Chan Long, 18, reading news summaries while slowly undressing until she was naked.

Internet-television network NOW Broadband confirmed the show had been taken off its adult channel, reports the South China Morning Post.

The show's creator and producer, Jesse Au King-wai, insisted he was happy about the latest development.

"I am developing my website for the news show, so the show will go on, just on a different platform," he said.

"With all the publicity, I will make more money than staying on NOW Broadband."

"I am not disappointed. I will go on the new website," said Chan Long.

I think it's great that a promising young journalism student was given a chance to appear on television. Well, I *assume* she's a promising young journalism student. I mean, why else would they hire an eighteen year old girl?

By the way, there is already a "nakednews" site on the 'Net. The newspersons disrobe while giving the news.

George, A2K demands accuracy in its posts, this after all a knowledge forum. You'd better go check that site out and come back with a more factual posting, not rumor.
