Would you believe me if I told you that I was a serious pothead for years?...
Not only that, but I had a bag approx as big as 4 or 5 tobacco pouches, of high quality weed in a bag for the last few years, untouched.. I finally got around to flushing it down the toilet last year.?

It does you no good, until it can do you no good any-more.. Though I suppose you might be twice my age before you figure that out. What with the other things happening here.

That is a true statement.

Pretty soon the yoyo is so spun out that the atheist can't believe it and the agnostic doesn't know what to think.

Tonight's meeting of Radical Theists is set to discuss string theory and it's a no bars held affair.

They meet every Tuesday to discuss their mutual passions for design and cooking.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Sure, I'm often cranky.

Bar jokes in general are of no interest to me.

I'm probably about 3 times your age already. Not sure I want to figure out any more.

But the ever richening wisdom of aging is so much more attractive than the fading beauty of youth...at least that's what I'm told.

@Finn dAbuzz,
I don't buy it - but then I just listened to a radio documentary about mirrors.

@ehBeth,
I didn't say I buy it, just that I heard it.

Never-the-less, I've found that aging's gradual robbery of my libido has been compensated (without equity of course) by the sharpening of my discernment of idiocy in attractive people (well, women actually but that sounds sexist).

@Thomas,
But you crazy atheists are a menace to society.

By insisting that people strip themselves of a belief in the divine, (or at least park it in some place you'll never have to come across) you are removing one of the most successful governors of human behavior that God or insightful men have been able to impose upon us.

Yes, yes...The Crusades, The Inquisition and all that, but for every life those mindless expressions of zealotry took, my bet is that a fear of God saved, at least, a thousand more.

What self-professed militant atheists like Richard Dawkins and Christopher Hitchens have failed to realize is that disabusing people of their superstitious beliefs in God or gods is not the same as rendering them rational human beings.

In fact, I suspect that there may be quite a few people who might interpret atheism as nihism and once purged of their silly clinging to religious restrictions may feel it's anything goes time.

Be careful of what you wish for.

Well, good. Although I think you're giving us way more credit than we're due.

@Finn dAbuzz,
Do not associate them with me, they have general views of rationality.
Not arguments larger than Hell itself can lock down.
