@Thomas,
would you change how you write in German as a result of something you've learned about English?

@ehBeth,
Sure! I have. When I discovered Strunk and Wright, for example, that had as much impact on my German writing as on my English writing. (For the better, I hope and think.)

@Thomas,
Watch out, JTT will chase you.
White, but you know that.

Apropos of typos, I'm having trouble with both C and V, especially, and, gah, slightly, the space bar. Wish me luck.

edit -
I had to add an s to apropo. I probably have not understood that word in writing space.

@ehBeth,
I admit, that I have to watch my commas. The English, that I speak, comes across as weird, when I don't.

@Thomas,
I use too many commas, except when I screw up and miss one, as commas are in my brain. But over the years, people will remember me not for observations or imbecility or this and that, but for commas. The nuns would be happy.

Or,

; the nuns would be happy.

It's becoming much more popular in the English language to use a singular they instead of he or her.
