Donating a motorcycle to charity can help sick children, communities and nonprofit organizations. Selling a motorcycle can be frustrating and take time; if your motorcycle is sitting in your garage unused, donating it might be the right option. When you donate your motorcycle, you not only help others, you also help yourself, as donations to charity are tax deductible. Local and national charities exist that accept motorcycle donations--whether the motorcycle works or not. Many of these charities will pick the vehicle up from your home, making the donation process relatively simple for those who want to give. Having an old, unwanted motorcycle around takes up a lot of space and can be an eyesore because motorcycles have a title of ownership, entire motorcycles and their parts usually aren't accepted for curbside trash pickup, which leads some owners to dispose of their vehicles in the woods or other areas.
