Sustainable End Values
A person who lives under a tyranny, and recognises this fact, may well see freedom as his end value. A tyranny may not be 'sustainable, by virtue of its inability to question itself.
Those who have a measure of freedom will, however, find they must have new end values in anarchism or altruism [loosely defined]. The characteristic of anarchism being self indulgence. This in its nature cannot be very forward looking, and is therefore likely to be unsustainable or unsurvivable in the long run.
Altruism, that is the freedom to act in a socially responsible way, must be forward looking beyond any one life.
In the third dimension chaos and the destruction of society, might well be sustainable at the point where man becomes animal and part of simple Nature.

@RW Standing,
All things work out in the end. If they do not work out,
then it is still not the end.

@RW Standing,
As the first part of my signature line notes in the end everything is fine and sustainably so.
