Lazenby's Bond must have been so forgettable that I forgot I seen him in On Her Majesty's Secret Service (1969) and rated it a 6/10 on IMDb.com.

_Diamonds are Forever_ , for both things. This was the first one I saw when I was a kid, and I loved it.

i didn't even consider the one off Bond's, David Niven played Bond in a version of Casino Royale, which was a spoof loosely based on the actual Bond book

I always loved the original.

Imo, Lazenby has been badly maligned. Everybody hated him because everybody hated the movie, justifiably so. On her Majesty's Secret Service was so badly made a movie that even Connery wouldn't have looked good in it. Take another look at it. The 2nd unit work is so sloppy as to be amateurish looking, especially the sequences in the Alps. The script sucks -- you can't have a Bond movie with a sad ending, at least back then you couldn't. Everybody knew that a Bond movie had to end with a bunch of wisecracks and the hero bedded down with one of his main squeezes. Broccoli or somebody in that organization had it in for Lazenby, I think. They made sure he'd play 007 only once.

I should do a Bond marathon in the near future. I never got the love for Dr. No. Far too slow for my taste when it comes to Bond flicks.
