@George,
Sure you didn't mean "chunder", as in Watch Under?

"We" think of Australians the same way Australians think about us. I have several friends in Australia that I've kept in touch with over the years, and even visited the land down under a couple of times. Was treated decent enough, and especially enjoyed visiting Cleland Park to pet a koala, Bo Jangles in Alice Springs, the Iron Bar at Port Douglas, and the Blu Bar at the Shangrila hotel in Sydney. All great watering holes.

@dk0431,
There are a lot of Australians here. Go to any ski resort and half the staff are from Oz. We're all pretty much the same. We drink, we laugh, we like sports, you just say it oddly. Laughing We think you're crazy for living in a land with sharks, crocs, spiders and snakes, and you think we're crazy for livin' near bears, cougars and the cooooold.

@Ceili,
Just as a lark I looked up both the top ten films produced in Canada and Australia to see the differences there in quality...:

@dk0431,
A whole lot are great and a few are assholes, just as with Americans and Canadians.

Overall though, Americans are suckers for Australians.

When you visit a US bar make sure everyone hears your accent and you probably won't have to pay for many of your drinks and unless you look like a mud crab, you'll attract ladies.

Of course if you diss the USA in your Aussie accent you may find yourself in peril...unless you're in some trendy bar in NY or LA, where they will likely consider you a wise foreigner reinforcing all they hate about their country.

I am continually amazed that there are people who actually live in Australia. I mean every single thing in the country, either living or dead, is dead set to kill everything around it. Makes me think that actual Australians are the toughest sum bitches on the globe.
