Water conditioner help please.

I just changed my culligan water condition backwash only valve to a fleck 5600sxt. I had to modify the distributor tube to match the 3/4 pvc end on the new fleck control valve. Now that it is all connected, i have no water when the bypass valve is turned to service mode. This is a ph tank only and the tank contains Calcite. I did pull out the distibutor tube and then slid it back down through calcite 0nce i modified the top. Anyone have any ideas why water will not flow through now?
