Independent living centers or assisted living

Assisted living homes may also be referred to as a Personal Care Home, Adult Family Home, Residential Care Facility, Board and Care, Long Term Care Facilities, or Adult Congregate Care..
Most senior assisted living facilities create a unique service plan that allows residents to maintain their current lifestyle while receiving the specific services they need. The living centers regularly evaluate their residents so they can continue tailoring services to their changing needs. Costs often vary for independent living services, as does the level of care available in an assisted living facility. Assisted living costs may be part of an all-inclusive plan, or the costs of assisted living services may be charged as part of a base monthly fee.
Which one is better or which one is preferable........

@Micheal222,
The one that is least intrusive and restrictive for the condition, of course. That still leaves a decision, doesn't it?

@Micheal222,
I think deciding for a independent living center or assisted living facility depend on a elder him/herself or the family he/she is living with. Or the situation in which they are deciding for living facility. As if they really need and want to live independently at old age home with all assisted living facilities, they should opt for separate old age home.

Determining whether a relative requires an assisted living or independent living facility can be difficult and it all depends on his needs and health.

@Micheal222,
Seniors who want a comfortable, low-maintenance lifestyle with social opportunities but are generally healthy, active, and capable of handling their daily routines on their own are better suited for independent living facilities. The seniors who want independence but need some daily assistance with their daily tasks, like dressing, bathing, managing medications, or living in better assisted living. Independent living focuses on their lifestyle and personal care support. The best choice depends on the health, safety needs, and level of independence.
