Here's a rarity--Elvis, Carl Perkins, Johnny Cash and Jerry Lee singin' together, 1956 . . .
(Edit: Very spooky--while i was posting this, they played this song from "the million dollar quartet" on Holger Peterson's Saturday Night Blues program on CBC. Cue the Twilight Zone intro . . .)
Burn my house, steal my car,
Drink my liquor from an old fruit jar . . .

From the late 1920s to the 1950s, one of the biggest groups in America was the Carter Family. In the 1960s, Maybelle Carter's daughters, using the name the Carter Family, revived the act. They collected a good deal of American folk music, true folk music, not New York or Newport folk music, inspiring generations of musicians. Here, the Carter sisters sing a song covered by many, many artists, including Joan Baez . . .
(That girl down there playing the autoharp is June Carter--more about her in a minute)

That's as good as it ever gets, period, Coasters RULE!!!
Brilliant song writing, seriously good singing, humor, and the best man on saxophone there ever was, basically a major league class act.
