Is there a way to stop getting e-mails on one particular thread without having to turn off your entire e-mail notification?
If you don't recieve email updates as part of your profile, then you make the selection at the top right corner. Underneath, New Posts, Unanswered, and At a Glance, there is View next topic, View previous topic, and the email updates selection.
But if your profile chooses email updates, I don't know if the selection is there.
Roverroad. If you have turned the email updates ON, if you look at the top right hand corner of the thread page, you should see "Turn off email updates" Click it.
Same thing if the email updates came on automatically when you posted...
Looks like this:
View next topic
View previous topic
Turn off email update
Lower right hand corner also has the option. If you don't want e-mail updates on a particular thread, just click on Turn off email updates.
Gonna mark this one answered.
Quick rundown:
1) The profile setting changes whether the notifications are turned on for future replies. If this is set to "yes" when you post to a thread it becomes subscribed. From the posting page this can be checked or unchecked for individual threads.
2) As the members have noted here there is a link (actually two) in each thread where you can turn the notifications on or off.
3) On the home page there is a link to a page that lists all thread subscriptions and each can be turned off (or all of them can be turned off at once).
