I think I said somewhere on a2k once that I'd like this song at my funeral (should I ever have one, which is unlikely, but maybe somewhere a party).

I just found this, a 41 minute video on the studio sessions.

Perhaps at your post-life memorial or the during the distribution of your ashes in Italy.

I mean if people go and take you (or your new self) there, they might as well get the music going too.

@Sturgis,
Sure!
Did you ever see the movie Return of the Secaucus 7? I get that mixed up with the later similar movie, The Big Chill. Anyway, I think it was in the funeral scene in Secaucus 7 that the organist played Sympathy for the Devil. (or maybe I'm making that up)

@ossobuco,
I saw Return... several years ago, I can't remember it too well. Never did see The Big Chill. Guess I can't tell you where the organ music was playing.

@ossobuco,
I used to own the DVD of this. Great document. Though I always feel bad for Brian, boxed in and tuned out of the recording, and then completely gone.

@Thomas,
Favourite song of one of my exes.

I can see why. Wink

@dlowan,
Perhaps he, too, was a man of wealth and taste. Well, he obviously had taste --- unless it was him who broke up with you.

If I recall, in The Big Chill one of the deceased's friends played "You Can't
Always Get What You Want", at his funeral but in a style reminiscent of
a hymn.

@George,
Maybe that's what I'm remembering. Made a good story, though.
