Aspect, I need to find a better word. So, the german take on the dish, osso buco.

@ossobuco,
I'm not 100% wrong, though. Here's a link on Google.

Yesterday I got some shavings from a tree branch that my friend was sawing above me, while I was holding the ladder below. (I had glasses on at the time.)

Today I sprained my ankle while walking back from shopping. Luckily not in the main street. Embarrassed

So now I have a red left eye & a very painful (Ouch! Ouch! Ouch!) right foot and ankle.

I wonder what joys tomorrow will bring? Neutral

Clearly it's time for trees and healthy walking to go!

@dlowan,
Oh but there's so much pruning to go, Deb!
It's a jungle out there!

The thing that worries me is that I was with the same friend when both incidents occurred. Hmmmmm ....
Perhaps she wants to kill me? Wink Razz

apparently, there was also a movie

Mario Batali also uses that spelling.

@ehBeth,
I know osso bucco and ossobucco are used, I'm just crabby about it, it's my way..

I assume too that they are pronounced more like 'bucko' than 'boo-co', but I've never heard anyone who spells it that was say the word..

In France, it's called L'osso buco à Milan, or short "oss bus" .

@msolga,
Damn, now I have two red eyes, when yesterday & this morning I only had one.
They look rather like this, only more so :
http://upload.wikimedia.org/wikipedia/commons/thumb/a/ab/Redeye_photograph.JPG/230px-Redeye_photograph.JPG

The chemist who looked at it yesterday (when there was only one eye with the problem) said it was most likely a burst blood vessel, but seeing as their was no pain or irritation, that it would most likely clear up in a couple of weeks.

So off to the doctor tomorrow morning.
I look like someone from the cast of some horror movie, or something ... Neutral

@ossobuco,
Oh me, too!
I'm a wee bit worried that it's now both eyes.
Also, as I teach (casually), the thought of standing up in front of classes of adolescents looking how I look at the moment ..... well, it doesn't feel like a very good idea.
It'd be a good talking point, though. Wink

@msolga,
It's almost tomorrow there, isn't it? Otherwise I'd call the doctor's office to see if there are any eyedrops you could use (or shouldn't use) while you wait for the appointment.

@ossobuco,
There's a doctor two doors down from my house, osso.
A very charming elderly Indian gentleman who keeps suggesting I take up yoga. Smile
No appointment necessary, you just turn up .... but early. Or you could be there for quite a while.

It's now 12: 15 am "tomorrow".
Which means I'd better get myself to bed.
It's been nice talking to you.
Night night.

@msolga,
I hope your eyes are only irritated and there is no shavings from the saw dust in it. Watch your step too!! Having already a sprained ankle and not seeing too well is not a good recipe, so stay home and relax!

Yes, yoga is definitely a good outlet and it makes you feel great! It took me
years to talk my mother into yoga, but now she's hooked on it!

Feel better, MsOlga, and take it easy!

2 red eyes = probably not burst blood vessel

Intervention needed.
