So I finally not only saw that notice but read it: the town's electricity company are doing some "urgent repair works" this afternoon (from 1 pm to 4 pm) .... and thus we wo't have electricity during that time.

And that's exactly when I wanted to install my new computer grrrrrrrrr.

No - no time this morning, and we'll be away tomorrow.

So, some time next week ...

This is obviously a conspiracy, Walter!

Lots of different folks, & even the road authorities, have it in for you!

Woke up to a nasty surprise this morning. Sad Mad

The outer panel (double-glazed) of one side of our bathroom window (in our downstairs bathroom) was found cracked and broken. At first I figured vandalism and that someone had thrown something to break it during the night.

In closer inspection though, I could see no impact point on the broken pieces that was sitting between the two panes. What must have happened was that it was cold last night, and our furnace kicked in quite a few times. Well, that bathroom is just a small one (sink and toilet) and the door was closed. I surmise that the heat must have built up and contrasted with the cold outside and the window must have cracked enough to break it.

I will have to wait until tomorrow morning to get someone to fix it. Fortunately, the inner panel is intact.

Just one of those stupid things. Making sure to leave the door open in future. Mad

ugggh...computers, and lack of being able to work in harmony with others.

man, I hate computers.

I really need to go out, but I just can't get away!

Sometimes, I hate this place.

I was watching the tennis, msolga. Over 100 degrees. I didn't think Sharapova would make it to the end.

You've got my sympathy. I have no tolerance for heat. I'll take cold anytime.

It's hard enough sitting still in such heat. I don't know how people can run around in it.

I generally don't butt into other people's stuff - but this kind of meanness really gets to me.

What I really hate is when people talk about you behind your back.

(and I wasn't being mean)

This is hardly talking behind your back.

And come on! How disingenuous is that! You really think that your 'compliment' wasn't mean? If someone made that crack to me, I would think they were calling me a prostitute.
