In transit, I'd suspect, Walter.
Something wrong with Zurich?
Never been there, myself.
So I went to grind the coffee beans this morning and after x number of seconds I let my thumb off the tab that makes the whirlygiggy work. It still kept going. I tried again, it stopped. I took the lid off, and it not only started but spewed Peet's special blend all over the kitchen, until I managed to pull the plug. Not only did I NOT feel like cleaning every wee ground bit up off the floor, from under my feet, all over the stove top, behind the flour and cornmeal and rice jars, off the telephone, and so on and so on and so on, but Peet's is not inexpensive coffee. Grrrrrrrrrrr.
What a way to start your day, osso!
I went for a CAT scan today. I had to drink a liquid that was HORRIBLE! Truly VILE. I was gasping and making faces. I scared the other patients, who hadn't been served yet. Yuck, feh, double pooh.
I also had to hold my breath for a very long time. I mean a v-e-r-y long time. Not easy under the best of circumstances let alone when you don't have that much breath to begin with. I nearly passed out and was dizzy for a while.
Otherwise things went smooth as silk.
Did I mention that the liquid was vile? It was.
Oh, sweet baby Robbie, take care of yourself now. Hugs from all of us, to the extent you can stand them. Sending you virtual chocolates.
That sounds like an ordeal, Roberta!
Bet you're glad that it's over & done with!
When will you know the results?
<fingers crossed for the best news.>
msolga, I'll see the doctor on Thursday who will likely send me to another doctor to schedule surgery--and many more tests.
How vile, Osso? As I was gasping my way through the horrid stuff, the nurse said that lots of people couldn't get it down or keep it down. I did both. What a good girl am I. Thanks for the virtual chocolates.
They also injected dye into my veins via an IV. I was told that the dye would make me feel warm. I was picturing, well, warm. The effect? Full-body heartburn. It disappeared quickly.
Now I must drink eight glasses of water to wash that stuff out of my system. If I'm not around later, I'll be in the bathroom.
Can't recall whether I mentioned that the liquid tasted awful--thick, white, slightly orange-flavored, harsh, and heavy. It was VILE.
Bit yucky, was it?
Fingers crossed for you, Roberta! More surgery - now that's yucky!

Oh, I'm so sorry to hear that, Roberta!
Jeeze, I wish all this would just stop!
I'm sorry to hear about the horrible drink and the tests today and the tests and possible surgery to come, Roberta.
((((((((((Roberta))))))))))
Thanks, msolga and mac. Fact is, I'd just as soon get the whole thing over with.
I can understand that, Roberta.
It's just that enough is enough, yes?
Trying to proceed in my usual A2K way, with great difficulty.
I think DEBUG MODE (happening right now) is my least favourite A2K thing!
Grit, grimmace, grit!
Ah!
It seems to be happening only with
new posts & a few other links.
At a glance appears to offer possibilities!
Nasty, Roberta.
Lost a letter I need to reply to - New Year's Resolution will be to get organized!
msolga, I passed enough about a year ago. And, yes, that debug business is a pain in the patoot.
Tarah, The letter is there somewhere. Getting organized is always a good idea. It comes naturally to some people, but I'm not one of them. I get organized and become unorganized very quickly. I have to hunt for everything. I usually find it--eventually. Good luck with your letter hunt.
I was apparently born with vying genes re organization. I have a natural tendency towards organized behavior and can easily get carried away at that, or used to. I've another natural tendency towards slobdom, and a third natural tendency toward procrastination. Two against one, and chaos rules.

Or before that, even, Roberta?
Jeeze.
Patoot.
I just learned a new word!
I love it!
