@Triste Joven,
Eric Hoffer was on T.V. many years ago, and he said: Quoting another, that man cannot live without hope... Hoffer said, No... Hope is a balloon, and when one pops, people simply inflate another one...
A lot of times, survival is determined by the number and quality of hope balloons the people have for inflation... In fact, their hope can also bring them to death and destruction... Hitler could inspire people with hope because he was so convinced, and insanely convinced of his own predestined part in leading Germany to victory... And, for a while, hope triumphed over reality, but what the German people needed was to deal with their reality instead of chasing hope all over the European landscape... When people are exposed, they dream of nothing but shelter... When hungry they dream of food... When cold they dream of warmth... Our dreams command our minds when most we need our minds for the solutions to our problems...If people could be inspired to deal with reality they would waste little time and life in pursuit of dreams that will bring them into inevitable conflict with others...
