Are We Forgetting Something In This Culture?

Are we forgetting something with regard to our collective humanity? Are we forgetting about the human soul? About Integrity? About the depth potentialities of the human spirit-and the human mind(the self's genius),the "self" (Atman) to be known and embraced? Has Warriorism and tribalism made us pragmatic,soulless functionaries and survivalists with no beauty,depth,wisdom and creativity to attain to,no humanity? Have human beings become rock headed externalized pragmatists with no Raison D'etre? What say you? MR

@Etherman50,
One does not capitalize the "r" or the "d" in raison d'être, and you forgot the circumflex.

If all these things you say are true, i assure you that it has been so for thousands of years. For as much dismay as it may give you to contemplate it, not everyone is going to espouse your values.

@Etherman50,
Huh?

1) Warriorism and tribalism is where we started. Pragmatic soulless functionaries is what we became when we stopped being tribal warriors. This move to soulless functionaries has made up the progression of human history. They are on opposite ends of the spectrum.

2) The soul is a myth, an invention of primitive tribal warrioristic humans. This mythology was developed to justify tribalism and war.

3) We pragmatic soulless functionaries have plenty of beauty, depth wisdom and creativity.

Why do you think that "warriorism" and tribalism has robbed us of our souls, let alone beauty, wisdom and creativity?

The circumflex is not part of the English language and it is not needed in this now English phrase.

You're just trying to show off, Setanta, you ole pedant.

We borrow words from other languages; we don't borrow the rules that accompany them.

Aren't you being more than a bit hypocritical telling the OP what to capitalize and what not to when you don't capitalize what "one does capitalize"?
