@Dutchy,
zebras. (If you stare at a herd of zebras long enough, or the skins off them made up as a leotard, your eyes go glazed.)

@spendius,
Now connect to "zebras" and never mind leotards.

@Dutchy,
Quote:
Without a doubt It's me, Aidan and Found Soul who are the witty and clever ones around here!

I presume that is intended to persuade Rebecca and FS to sit by your feet and look at me contemptuously. Like aunties look at scamps. You are mistaking banter for wit.

@Dutchy,
I've been pipped before Dutch. Naiads is okay from "yearns". You have no explanation for "sprung" from "yearns". You are making the connection to the previous explanation rather than the word itself. As I have explained enough times. So carry on--don't mind me.

BTW--the thread-master has approved of my revision of the rules which makes you out of order on your own argument. Like me, Spade doesn't wish to play a kindergarten game.

@spendius,
okay - for sprung, I got:

ruined
(the lackey and the lady gave the mattress such a workout when the Lord left to do whatever Lords do- that the springs in the mattress sprung and they had to get a new mattress because it was ruined- this is a modern day Lady and Lord and lackey - they weren't bouncing around on feather mattresses - this mattress has springs).

and for naiads:

dancer

(the naiads danced amidst the sun-splashed droplets)

So the words are :

ruined/dancer (Now there's a story THERE!)
