Acid neutralizer -- how much should annual service cost?

We have well water and an acid neutralizer. We asked for an annual service (which we used to pay about $180 for, and a new plumber came in, brought two people for 2-2.5 hours, and charged me $400 for labor, and 3 buckets of calcite at $70.

Does that sound normal?
