I think his owner was a lady because he called my wife mama
It probably escaped from someone nearby. They may love it and miss it. Try calling several local vets and ask them if they know who the owner is.

@Rockhead,
Thanks, Man. You found him for me. I didn't give a reward because I thought he couldn't live very long outdoors in Worcester, Massachusetts. He loathes Coco Puffs, but loves to gnaw on my blood hound's ears. By the way, he gargles water. Don't do anything. I'll be right down for him. Feed him and you own him.

@OmSigDAVID,
My wife went to the pet store and bought food and supplies for a bird that my neighbor is taking care of until we find the rightful owner.

I thought that it may have escaped from an aviary down the road but he said he was not missing any birds.

Back to finding the owner.

I disagree.
In all my years, decades n centuries, I 've only had it happen 1ce.
He was a bird of fairly wide wingspan.
I left my door open wide for him to leave
and he flew out after a while.

SHOTGUNS! Thay dislike SHOTGUNS for good reason.

I 've never cared much for shotguns, by temperament.
I prefer rifled barrels (and handguns).

I am not a shotgun person.

Do u think thay can smell the difference ?

@OmSigDAVID,
My neighbor tells me these birds can live up to 150 years. Does that sound correct?

@reasoning logic,
are you asking dave because he is really really old, or because he once had a bird in his house?

@reasoning logic,
He seems to have survived nicely.

He looked like he was in good health, when he flew away.
