Okay, I'm going to expose my tech slowness ... I can't figgur how to hook things up so I can watch DVDs on my tv while it's connected to a cable box. I have the DVD player's cord that has the red, white and yellow connectors on each end I have tried to connect to both the tv, and then the cable box by sticking the little prongs in the corresponding holes, but no dice. Can anyone help my poor tech-challenged behind?

@snood,
Have you changed the function on the DVD player from TV to DVD?

@snood,
The TV has multiple input sources. Once you plug the DVD player into the TV, you need to pick up the tv remote control, find the "input" button and then keep trying different input sources until you find the DVD player. Good luck.
