What Overused powerwords/talking-point words in the news (zeitgeist) have been annoying you?
Give EXAMPLES please.
Haircut: Ex. "Merkel: 50 pct haircut to cut Greek debt by 100 bln euros"

Game changer and it's catch-all definition is all over the map.

@tsarstepan,
I am so sick and tired of the overuse of the word "ARTISAN" when talking re: foods .
(This is marketing rather than world news but I find it annoying)

@farmerman,
I'm expecting to see an Artisan Whopper or an Artisan Big Mac soon from Burger King and McDonalds just so they can raise the price a dollar and(poorly) try to grab the foodie population.

@wandeljw,
'That's no problem,' as in 'Hello, I'd like to order a pizza please.' Answer, 'That's no problem.' 'I wasn't expecting there to be a problem, you are a pizza delivery company after all.'

Paradigm shift is a good way to put it,
when there IS a shift in the paradigm.

Sick of "transparency," "terrorist," "spoofing," "hold on a quick minute" and "you just can't write a script like this."

@boomerang,
I can imagine some innovative Razz Rolling Eyes marketer will use "occupy" for the inevitable Black Friday department store sales:
Come out on midnight Black Friday to Walmart! Save big bucks when you "Occupy Walmart!"

"Occupy" is the new "--gate".

Faith and Freedom Coalition... WTF?

@Ceili,
That's a title for some organization I have never heard about let alone hope to ever hear about given the possible Tea Party euphemisms implanted in the name.

I guess taken apart, faith and freedom are two Republican talking points that have been exploited and cheapened. Now with this seemingly obvious marriage of a title, the founders of this organization are grubbing/pandering to a particular politically active niche group of religious nuts... sorry... conservatives I meant to say.

I know, I believe both words are overused, especially by politicians where the church and state are supposed to be separate.
