I burned my hand today trying to take brownies out of the oven. Ouch! (Today's my dad's 38th birthday!) It really hurts and I dont want it to scar. Im gonna soak it in cold water and maybe put some neosporin or something on it. It s a pretty bad burn. Think that's a good idea?

It seemed that Neosporin to come out with that line just when the generics were cutting into their business. I don't know if it's true or not, the part about stopping, minimizing scarring.

The cold water is an excellent idea. A burn continues after the source of the burn has been removed. Cold water for a long time.

If the skin breaks later then Neosporin would be in order.
