I've liked most fruit I've tried when it has been ripe and local. I thought I died and went to heaven the first time I had mangoes and papaya and cantaloupe in Mexico. I don't think the grocery store in the u.s. is the best place to sample fruit from; well, maybe bananas, as they are along a purveyor system line extraordinaire.
