To quote a Little Rascals character ('Uncle George'):
Yum yum. Eat 'em up.

@JGoldman10,
Really? Watermelons are delicious! Especially in the summer! Very Happy

Definitely cantaloupes and honeydews. The aftertaste is unbearable. Tuscan cantaloupes have much less of the aftertaste though. Also papaya and mango (texture), and I can live without kiwi.

@thack45,
love almost everything in the melon family

I'm with you on the kiwi and papaya. I like the yellow/green mangos if they're still sour, can't stand them once they're sweet and slimy.

Don't like Granny Smith or Red Delicious apples. Like pretty much all the other apple varieties I've tried.

Bananas have to be ripe for me to eat them. I was taught (back in the good old days of home economics) that ripe bananas should be brown, almost black, before eating. Not bruised brown, just aged brown. I can eat them before they get to that stage but not if there's any hint of green left on the peel.

During the heat wave, the first thing I do when I get home is eat ice cold watermalon. Been probably overdoing it, but it's hard to stop once I take the first bite.

My absolutely least favourite fruit is honeydew - I can't find one nice thing to say about it. It goes mushy so fast, it's a complete waste of time, space, energy and money. May as well buy it and toss it in the garbage as soon as you get home.

Not too fond of grapes with tough skin. Love berries but the seeds always get stuck in my teeth, which is really annoying.

Bananas - have to be FIRM and JUST ripe. Anything more and they feel mealy in the mouth.

Don't like the skin on apples but if I'm going to bear them it'll be Granny Smiths, Fuji's, Gala - I like them crisp.

Love mangos - bought three today and am just waiting for them to ripen.

Favourite fruit of all time - huckleberries!

I don't like honey dew. I defy anyone to drink blended, fresh watermelon and lime juice and not think it was the best thing in the world. I tried dragon fruit once, it didn't impress me much. It's was just mushy bland spotted stuff, maybe they're better in the desert.
I've always wanted to pick and eat an orange, I bet that would be divine. Star fruit are actually pretty good once sprinkled with a pinch of salt.

Durian scares the bejeebers outta me. I've seen them plenty of times but never smelled the horrible odor , I don't think. There were some bad smells on the streets of Bangkok.

I'm told once you get beyond the smell and eat one, they are crave inducing. Colour me yella.

@GracieGirl,
I don't actually recall the taste of the seeds, but it wasn't bad. I don't think anyone eats the actual fruit.

Other than Pomegranate seeds, I don't eat any fruit that begins with the letter P.

@GracieGirl,
The fruit? I have no idea. I seem to recall the seeds as being "fruity".

I can't really think of a fruit I despise, though some are more favoured than others.

Nothing like a freshly-picked, crisp, ripe apple! (Not those which have been in cold storage for yonks & have turned to pulp! Erk.)
Mandarins are great. (would anyone like any? I have a bumper crop at the moment. Giving them away left, right & centre!)
A ripe, juicy tomato, freshly picked from your own garden, while still warm from the sun, (which is a fruit, not a vegetable) is absolute heaven in summer.
Right now I'm addicted to pears. Firm, crunchy ones that can be found in abundance at our greengrocers' shops . Fabulous with a little squeeze of lime juice on the chopped segments.
I could go on ...

But a fruit I really hate?
The closest I can come up with is some varieties of persimmons.
Those that are ripe, but don't taste quite "right".
And which numb your gums & leave a strange, lingering after-taste.
