@izzythepush,
HaHa! I'm gonna be singing that all day! "I'm a secret lemonade drinker, all whites, all whites, all whites,! Hahaha! I love how he comes down the stairs in the beginning. Lots of Laughs! Reminds me of my dad when he's joking around. Haha! That one was my favorite! Very Happy

@GracieGirl,
It is a catchy tune, but it's R (Ah) Whites. All Whites would be a good washing powder.

@izzythepush,
Haha! Oh! Duh! That's the brand name, I just noticed that. Ha! I still like saying 'all whites' though. It sounds better to me. Do they still sell that stuff? I've never seen it. Those commercials look older than me! Lol Razz

Well, my VERY favorite for pure chocolate goodness is Hershey's plain...I don't care what any chocolate snob says, a big wide, flat Hershey bar cannot be beat...even one of my British friends who you'd think would HATE Hershey's (as most Brits do - they swear by Cadbury's chocolate) had a Hershey's kiss the other day and said, 'Okay - now THAT is melt-in-your-mouth chocolate!'

I also like Hershey's with Almonds and I like Almond Joys because I love coconut and almonds. I love dark chocolate Bounty bars - but the milk chocolate ones - not as much.

I used to like Nestle's Crunch bars - but I haven't had one in a while.

I love Butterfinger's for the crunchy texture.

Another British friend of mine brought me a Payday bar that he found somewhere down in Cornwall and I have to admit - that was sinfully delicious!
I hadn't had one of those in a while either.

On occasion, I'll eat a Snicker's bar.

I used to eat Toblerone - but that's a little too chewy for me- to have every day anyway.

Yeah - so if I were anywhere in the world and could only have one more candy bar - I would choose a plain Hershey's bar or a bag of Hershey's kisses.

(Did you know they now have Hershey's kisses with coconut?! Heaven!!)

@aidan,
I had some Hersheys on holiday in America in the 80's and no, I'm sorry. It's Cadburys every time for me. They are selling Hershey's stuff in Asda now, but it doesn't appeal.

Although this may cheer you up, I saw a bottle of Mountain Dew in Tescos today. I've not seen that over here for about fifteen years, so I'd get a move on, because I can't see it lasting. You might want to try a bottle of tizer instead, that always takes me back.

@izzythepush,
See, I like Cadbury's (though I think it's a little fruity tasting for chocolate) but I like Galaxy too and really just about anything chocolate. The reason I like Hershey's is it has that slightly bitter, smoky tinge to it - also probably because I grew up eating it.

I used to be a Mountain Dew fiend - to the point that when I went to my corner shop (when I lived in America) to pick up my Sunday paper - if they saw me coming they'd have a Diet Mountain Dew sitting there too - ready for me and if I was out on the street drinking it, a friend of mine would call out 'ADDICT!!!'- and we'd start laughing hysterically.

But I've sworn off the stuff - because they don't sell it in glass bottles anymore now I'm on Diet Coke...more manageable caffeine-wise..and you can still get it in glass bottles. I'm a container snob - only glass for me.

@aidan,
Ooooooo! I LOVE Hershey's kisses! I haven't had those in forever! Yum Yum! I love Snickers and Butterfingers too. Basically anything chocolate I'll eat but I really love white chocolate. I don't really like dark chocolate too much because to me it tastes kinda like coffee and has a weird after taste. Yuck! I'm allergic to coconut too so I don't eat anything with that in it. I have a dentist appointment in a week so my dad won't let me have any candy. Sad
Sooooo not fair, but I've never had any cavities and I want to keep it that way so I'm cuttin down on candy for a while. That's why I want some soo bad now. HaHa! Razz

@GracieGirl,
My son, who is not really a sweet eater generally also loves cookies and cream. I don't like white chocolate - it tastes a little chemically to me.

But yeah - as far as chocolate goes - to each his own- right?

Just remember to brush after every binge.

@GracieGirl,
I live in England.

There are things I like better about America than England and things I like better about England than America - but at this point in my life- I can't bear the thought of leaving England - even for someplace as wonderful as America.
So England it is - at least for right now.

The best of the not-big selection at my local grocery store -

http://ecx.images-amazon.com/images/I/51LgG8%2BSA0L._SL500_AA300_PIbundle-12,TopRight,0,0_AA300_SH20_.jpg

If money, time, and travel were no object, I'd go

first - to San Francisco, to a little chocolate bar store in the downtown area and work my way through trying all their choices..

second, to Gran Caffe Orientale in Parma, Italy, where, besides fantastic coffee, they had individual chocolates in glass cases, every one I tried to die for. They didn't have chocolate bars, that I noticed, or maybe they did, but the candies were the best I've tried.

I think the Cadbury's milk chocolate bar sold in the U.S. is not the same as that sold in the U.K.--the one in the U.K. is much creamier. The Hershey's Symphony is made to be a creamier bar than the regular Hershey's.

Personally, I'm a fan of Dove chocolate--the dark chocolate minis or Promises.

When I want something crispy, more like a cookie, I go for...

GracieGirl, you should not have started this thread. Laughing Other than the Dove minis, I rarely have candy. But now I'm fighting all these cravings...

Edited to say - this is directed to Graciegirl - not to izziethepush:
Yeah - you want to keep that perfect record in terms of lack of cavities young lady. But you can still enjoy your chocolate!

Everything tastes better in a glass bottle. I can't even drink beer from a can - and I like beer.
